Ted Takasaki

A Fishing Hall of Fame Legendary Angler, Ted Takasaki is one of the top competitors on the National Walleye Tour. Ted won the prestigious Professional Walleye Trail (PWT) Classic Championship in 1998 and the 1995 PWT Top Gun Angler Award. In 2002, he smashed the all time, one day PWT tournament record with limit of 5 walleyes that weighed 53.2 pounds!

From 1999 to 2008, Ted was the President of Lindy Fishing Tackle, one of the nation’s largest freshwater fishing tackle manufacturers. During that time, the company doubled revenue and quadrupled profit under his leadership.

He was also a part of the Master’s Walleye Circuit (MWC) Team of the Year in 1991. His credentials include qualifying for the MWC Championship 5 times, the PWT Classic 11 times, and have made it to FLW Walleye Tour Classic 7 times, with several top tens to his credit.

In addition, Ted was a part of the team that won the coveted 1993 Mercury National Tournament held on Lake Winnebago, Wisconsin.

He has been featured in many national outdoor magazines, has conducted hundreds of walleye seminars across the Midwest, hosted numerous TV shows, and is considered one of America’s leading walleye and multi-species experts.

Eric Olson

Eric Olson has been fishing competitively for 16yrs and fishing the Wal-Mart FLW and Cabelas NWT Walleye Tours as a professional for the past 15 years. In 2011, the Red Wing, Minn. native became the Lake Oahe FLW Walleye Tour Champion, took home another top ten at the Devils Lake, ND FLW Tour event, finished 4th overall in the FLW Tour Western Division Angler of the Year standings and 3rd in the Ranger Cup points standings. He also garnered the top money winner position on the FLW Walleye Tour for the 2010 season.

In his competitive career, Olson has earned over $500,000, 13 top ten finishes, 3 tourney wins and qualified for 17 tournament Championships. In addition, he was the winner of the 2000 MWC World Walleye Championship.

Conducting Seminars for over 2500 anglers annually, Eric is well versed in educating and energizing his audience in all aspects of angling. As the host of the weekly radio show The Valley Outdoors Eric also communicates to a vast audience on all aspects of the outdoors in an entertaining and educating way over 5 stations in the Midwest market. Eric is also heavily involved in the Television media, hosting and appearing on shows such as Good Fishing with Babe Winkelman, Fishing the Midwest, Jason Mitchell Outdoors, The Discovery Channel and many others.

Future Angler Foundation

The Future Angler Foundation (FAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership organization formed in April of 2012 by a group of anglers dedicated to help grow the sport of fishing through education and outreach. Membership is open to any individual, organization or business interested in growing participation in the sport of fishing. FAF's mission is to support the efforts of individuals and organizations who are willing to share their passion for the sport through education and outreach in a manner that will grow future participation in the sport of fishing. The FAF wants to expose potential new anglers of all ages, race and gender to the sport of fishing and educate them on how to catch fish and protect the resource. They believe this educational component is critical for the future of the sport.
